Tuesday!
Today was a great day! It was fantastic to have a regular day! We went to the media center this morning and picked out new books for reading workshop. Students have new reading partners and new books to begin tomorrow! We worked on the goal setting student portfolio pages simultaneously so please check your child's page for updates! In writing we began a new partner writing activity. We will publish short, realistic fiction stories set within a school. In hearing the kids' initial brainstorming I can tell the stories will be wonderful!
After lunch, PE and Spanish, we worked on science. The kids updated their wikis now that we have our butterflies! Please check your child's science wiki to see their progress! Also, I collected the cricket and butterfly packets and the remaining mealworm and milkweed bug packets. Our Insect Life Cycles unit came to a close today but the wiki page with the great interactive games and resources will remain on our wiki. Starting tomorrow we'll be back into social studies - the southeast region.
Please consider volunteering for the blast. It is a great opportunity to help BCS! Here is the link for the sign-up.
Important:
-Thursday we will attend the DSO field trip. Please have your child dress nicely.
-Friday we will swim before the Waikiki party so please send swim gear. Also, beach clothing (not bathing suits) is permitted for the Waikiki party.
Thanks for reading and have a great evening!
