Terrific Thursday!
We began an exciting research project about Michigan animals. Yesterday (Harvath) and today (Mali) students spent the afternoon in the Media Center working on the project. Tonight everyone has their packet in their binder to bring home. Over the next five evenings, students need to share their work with you and complete the research. The packets are due NO LATER THAN Tuesday. Please go onto our FaceBook page for pictures of the kids working and to see the research pages. We encourage using ONLY the resources we provided. We would like to lay the foundation for future research in 5/6 and beyond and using Wikipedia is not an acceptable source to cite for research. One additional site which is very informative is National Geographic. Please do not allow your child to "ask Siri." ;-) Visiting your local library at some point over the next five days would also be very valuable! Beginning next week, students will use their information to create a large Michigan food web. We plan to have the final product on display for conferences in two weeks. Thank you for all your support!
