Marvelous Monday!
IMPORTANT: Your child will bring home the following:
1) Report Card
2) Report Card envelope which MUST be signed and returned to me by Friday
3) Yellow report card letter - please read!

Today was an amazing day! We started out with reading, we're reading a new book aloud in class called Cosmic - it is a Battle book! We'll be discussing questions after we read each chapter to help with comprehension! After math, we continued working on the final drafs of our Ethan and Scott paragraphs and many moved onto (or finished) publishing their small moment story.
In third grade math, we finished lesson 3.6. We investigated equilateral, isosceles and scalene triangles. Then we began watching a movie about measurement. There is no new homework other than finishing the Friday fact quizzes by tomorrow.
After Engage and lunch, we read more from Cosmic. Then, we had our classroom meeting. After the meeting we revisited our discussion of challenged athletes and triathlon and watched the following video: http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=7208128 Afterwards, we had a great discussion. FYI: We are going to Skype with Scott Rigsby on 11/28 at 1:00 pm. Anyone is welcome to join us! The kids will be writing their questions for Scott later this week.
SPELLING: Your child's spelling level will be discussed at conferences and we will start the program after Thanksgiving!! We are SO excited to get spelling and become better spellers!!
TOMORROW MORNING WE ARE GOING TO THE BOOK FAIR. IF YOU CHOOSE, PLEASE SEND MONEY WITH YOUR CHILD SO S/HE CAN PURCHASE BOOKS!
