In third grade math we continued to explore quadrangles. Then, I explained the new Geometry packet that we will work on tomorrow. There is no new written homework, just practice Geometry Skills on IXL.
After PE and lunch we had DEAR. Then, after Spanish the kids worked on their Michigan Ecosystem projects. They are doing a fantastic job of reading and taking notes. For the remainder of the day, I distributed and explained the Ecosystem Extension packet. Third graders must complete one assignment and fourth graders must complete two (at minimum). We talked about all the various options so that the kids can challenge themselves appropriately, based on their lives outside of school. There are MANY exciting options and I cannot wait to see what the students produce! Projects are due no later than 2/28 (so that Mid-Winter Break is available for them to work, if desired).
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT WE ARE SWIMMING THIS QUARTER AND ALL STUDENTS MUST HAVE SWIM GEAR FOR TUESDAY AND THURSDAY PE CLASSES. PARTICIPATION IS A MUST TO PROGRESS IN SWIMMING.
Please also remember to check other class blogs/wikis for important information and homework assignments. The applicable blogs/wikis are on the left side of this page.
Thank you for reading and have a great evening!
