It was a SUPER Wednesday!

We had a super Wednesday!  This morning we began by working on finishing up some ongoing projects.  Then, after math we had writing workshop.  The conferencing rotations are working out extremely well.  Also, some students are entering a paragraph contest and their final paragraphs need to be turned in to me BEFORE LUNCH on Friday 11/11. 


During math we worked probability and investigated a relationship between the thickness of an object and whether it would land on an edge based on thickness.  Your child can explain our fun demonstration.  Also, as a reminder, in yesterday's 3rd grade math post (and today's as well) you can find links to the addition and subtraction fact quizzes.  They need to be completed before Friday when the next two are assigned.


Today's Co-Curriculars were Engage and Engineering technology.  For the afternoon, we worked on science.  We discussed the Land and Water review and then played a trivia game to prepare for Friday's test.  


Overall today was a SUPER day!

Categories include: Film/Video Production, Dance Choreography, Musical Composition, Photography, Visual Arts and Literature.

ALL ENTRIES ARE DUE TO THE MEDIA CENTER BY DECEMBER 1, 2011.  PLEASE FOLLOW ALL ENTRY GUIDELINES CAREFULLY AS REQUIREMENTS HAVE CHANGED!

HOMEWORK: 
*Please bring in a water bottle and a silent reading book!
1) Reading: 20 minutes for 3rd / 30 minutes for 4th
2) Math: EVERYONE: Use IXL and practice basic facts!              

              3rd: Fact tests due Friday.  JP 66, HL 3.5           

              4th: JP 76, SL 3.11

3) The nouns packets are corrected and should be at home!  Please use the packets and the online games to study for Friday's Noun Quiz.

4) Land and Water test is on Friday - we went over the review today and it should come home to study with.

5) Those students entering the paragraph contest need to submit their FINAL paragraph to me NO LATER THAN this Friday 11/11.

6) GOAL SETTING is due on Monday 11/14.  

7) PARAGRAPH PRACTICE is due on Friday 11/18.
