During third grade math we applied our knowledge of large numbers to the U.S. Census. We worked on JP 106. The HW tonight is JP 107 & HL 5.4. Also, 30 minutes of IXL is required between today and Sunday evening. Lastly, the new fact quizzes are due on Tuesday.
We then continued publishing small moments in the Creative Station. They look great!
After Engineering Technology and lunch, we went to the Media Center and Mrs. Clark talked to us about Science Fiction. Afterwards, we went back to our room, did planners and talked about Reading to the Superbowl (a parent letter is in your child's binder). I also distributed a nutritional handout as well as the class composite.
We also briefly talked about the article below. Throughout our discussions about prosthetics, many students wondered if they were powered. The article focuses on people who are paralyzed, versus amputees, who benefit from robotic devices. Have fun reading!

Enjoy your weekend and thank you for reading!
