Today was a super day. I had a reading meeting for the first half of the day. Our wonderful guest teacher from last week arrived (as she was very excited to come back) but unfortunately she was ill and had to leave. So, two great BCS teachers filled in for the morning. First, the kids worked on a brief reading comprehension activity about four important women in history. Then, Mr. Braisted had a discussion about Rosa Parks (who we are currently reading a biography about).
In third grade math, the students worked on using parentheses with multiplication. Mrs. Toth arrived and finished the math lesson. The homework is to finish JP 167 which was started in class.
Mrs. Toth then introduced the Map Skills packet and completed the first two pages with the class. We will continue to work through this very valuable practice packet through next week.
After PE and lunch, we had a brief DEAR time. Then, it was off to Spanish! Afterwards we spent the afternoon working on portfolios for next week! The kids are really working hard to prepare for you parents! I cannot wait for Wednesday and Thursday.
Since the weather was still nice at 3:10, the kids played their Sharks and Minnows game. I love watching how well they play as a class and enjoy each other.
Thank you for reading, the planner is below. Have a wonderful evening!
