We had another fabulous Friday! We began with reading a story by Robert Ballard about the Titanic. Today we spent a lot of time integrating the Titanic into each subject area since Sunday is the 100th anniversary of the ship's sinking. After we read the story (and after math), students picked a topic from a list of five options to write about. We also worked on our daily grammar after math.
After art and lunch, we had DEAR and then went to the Media Center. Mrs. Clark explained to the kids how to find a book at their just right level using destiny. When we returned from the Media Center, we discussed one page of our social studies packet regarding the French and Indian War. Finally it was time for the awaited Titanic movies! (Of course it is not relaxing considering the amount I like to interrupt for discussion purposes!) Therefore, I reminded your children that you have all received an email with the three links from class today if they would like to watch in peace.
Good luck to Bridget, Nick C., and Phillip at the Elementary Science Olympiad Competition tomorrow! We'll be there all day, having a great time with science!
Thanks for reading and have a great evening!
