Today was a great day! This morning was spent with writing and grammar, both before and after math. We went to the Media Center for a change of scenery (and also some students needed to print their fabulous final writing pieces).
In third grade math we worked on number stories with fractions. We completed JP 200. We will work on 201 tomorrow but I offered the kids the challenge of trying to complete it on their own. The HW tonight is JP 202 and HL 8.8. The review will go home TOMORROW and will be due Tuesday. The Unit 8 test will be on Wednesday 4/25. Also, IXL and fact quizzes are due by Sunday 4/22.
After swimming and lunch, we worked on planners. Then, the kids went to Spanish and returned to work on their Native American MI Workshop projects. Today all the kids worked VERY well and they were VERY productive. I was so proud of them for that! Finally, we ended the day with science. Your children learned something new about how a pendulum works - specifically relating to the mass. Please ask them how the mass influences the number of complete cycles in 15 seconds.
Remember, tomorrow is Dolphin Tale (permission slip required)! I told students that they are welcome to bring in a reasonable snack for the movie.
Thanks for reading and enjoy your evening!
