Please be sure to check out the comic below from our first four days together. I posted it yesterday, just scroll down.
This morning was filled with many great activities. First, we observed a moment of silence for 9/11. Then, we read about bucket filling. We also began our class read, Frindle which was very entertaining. After math, we shared our Writer's Notebooks and picked one picture from our cover to write about. Lastly, this morning, we learned about how land builds up and how water impacts the land.
Third grade math:
Today we reviewed number grids and then learned about all the fascinating information within our SRB. The homework assigned today was Home Link 1.3. It is due tomorrow. Those students who did not have Home Link 1.2 today should be sure to bring it tomorrow.
After lunch we had DEAR time and then had our weekly Classroom Meeting. We discussed classroom jobs! We are going to have a very well-managed classroom. The 28 of us will work together as a team for the entire school year to have the best classroom ever! The last activity of the afternoon, before Engage, was spent working on our posters. The action pictures that have come in are AMAZING!
Please remember to look through and sign your child's planner. I did not sign planners since the children ended the day today with Engage.
Have a WONDERFUL evening!
