Explore these tools to investigate different multiplication problems.  Try to make sense of the methods you see.  Make up some of your own problems to try and then check to see if you were able to solve correctly.

We had a great day today! We did not have math this morning. During reading we read another chapter of Stone Fox and used the questions we learned yesterday for a comprehension check. We had Spanish before lunch and then PE and swim after lunch. We enjoyed science and social studies lessons during the afternoon and ended the day with an extra recess. Tomorrow is media center day so please bring in any materials that need to be returned. Also, coney bingo night is tonight!

A Special Day for the Salmon!

"The Little Manistee River weir is an egg-take and salmon harvest facility which is operated by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, Fisheries Division. The weir is used to block fish on the Little Manistee River in the spring and fall of the year. Steelhead eggs are taken in the spring and chinook salmon eggs are taken in the fall at the Little Manistee River weir. The eggs taken at the weir are sent to state fish hatcheries where they are reared and stocked all over Michigan. Eggs are also supplied to several other states." - the Michigan DNR
