Tuesday was FANTASTIC!

Today we began with cursive and grammar.  We learned more about run-on sentences and corrected a paragraph to eliminate run-on sentences.  After math, we worked on Daily Grammar and finished paragraphs.

During math, we took a closer look at parts of wholes to figure out how much is a certain fraction in terms of a certain whole (for example, what is 1/4 of 8?).  Also, the new fact quizzes are posted and we will have two computer lab days to help ensure that quizzes are completed.  I have added multiplication of 12's as well as division.  The homework tonight is to finish JPs 181, 183 and 184.  Also, HL 8.2 is due tomorrow. Fact quizzes and IXL are due by Sunday 4/15.

After PE and lunch, we had DEAR.  I ordered a class set of Lego magazines which I distributed.  The kids really enjoyed them!  Then, the students went to Spanish.  After Spanish, we started a new project in co-teaching.  The kids, using VoiceThread (at which they are pros) looked at a photo slideshow of Native Americans and posted questions that their minds generated while looking at the pictures closely.  This began our Michigan Workshop unit which will continue for the next few weeks.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELYSE!  THANK YOU FOR THE POPSICLES!!

Spring Picture Day is tomorrow!  Please bring the form if you don't plan to order online!

Have a great evening and thank you for reading!
