What a Fantastic Monday!

Today was a fantastic day! We began our morning with Reading Workshop.  The projects are amazing!   After math, we stayed in our grade level math classes during writing workshop.  Engage was the morning Co-Curricular.

Third grade math:
Today was a great day!  We discussed the Unit 1 tests - on which the students did awesome!  We went over each problem.  We then began working on Unit 2 and spent time taking addition fact tests.

After lunch we had DEAR and then began working on the Symbolic Migration project.  Each student will make a butterfly to send to Mexico.  We'll receive butterflies in the spring that have been to Mexico and back, made by other students in the United States or Canada.  On the back of the butterfly, please make sure it has the following: a first name, and last initial, Birmingham Covington School, Bloomfield Hills, MI, USA.  We had a fire drill this afternoon and then afterwards we began a science lab.  The students will explore earth materials and today we started by looking a gravel.

Just as a reminder, our hallway looks amazing with the kids' Wordles, newspaper posters, and our class name puzzle.  Please visit if you have not done so yet!
Thank you to all the families who have helped and are currently helping level our library!  It is looking fantastic!

Thank you so much for reading the blog and for checking and signing your child's planner!
