It was a SUPER Wednesday!

I was very glad to be back today!  I was at a math assessment meeting yesterday and I really missed the kids!  Everything went very well with the guest teacher yesterday.

Today we began with book clubs.  We are finishing Science Fiction this week and then we will move into the Non-Fiction / Informational genre.  Many groups are working on culminating projects for their Science Fiction books.

In math, we worked on fact quizzes and IXL.  Before continuing with decimals in the journal book, I wanted students to really utilize the IXL decimal practice problems.  Tonight's homework is 25 minutes on IXL in the T.1-T.9 skills ONLY.  The 25 minutes can be combined from any of nine available concepts.

After math we worked on science.  We missed science on Monday for MLK day and we'll miss it again on Friday due to our field trip.  So, we REALLY needed extra science time.  The wikis look fabulous and the kids had a very engaging conversation about ecosystems this morning.

After Engage, lunch and Engineering Technology, we continued science.  We observed our terrariums and aquariums and then spent some more time on the wikis.

*Please consider volunteering for the Detroit Historical Museum Friday!  We'll need you and it will be fun and educational!!

PLEASE BE SURE TO REMEMBER YOUR PEANUT-FREE LUNCH ON FRIDAY 1/20 FOR OUR MUSEUM FIELD TRIP!

Thank you for reading and have a great evening!
