In third grade math we made numbers all the way up to the millions! The kids were so excited about it that we are going to have a trivia game each morning where I will write a number in the millions and the kids will try to say it correctly. The kids received two wonderful presents in class today... First, a place value chart (not super exciting but super useful in the long run). Second, I gave each student a multiplication table sticker (these were much more well-received than the place value charts). I suggested the kids put it somewhere so it will become a useful study tool. The HW today is JP 105 and HL 5.3. Also, there are still a few students who need to take their fact quizzes from Tuesday.
During Writing Workshop we continued revising and publishing. Many of the kids printed their story which included a fabulous picture!
After PE, Lunch, DEAR, and Spanish, we had some extra time (due to no co-teaching) to work on our science wikis. They are AMAZING! Please check them out HERE!
That sums up our terrific day!
Also, Choice Hour selection sheets are due no later than Friday. However, we are hoping to get them all in ASAP since the prize is a movie and popcorn party! We're in second place as of now!!
We still need about 15 more 2-liter bottles so if you have any clear ones at home please feel free to send them in!
