Today was a GREAT Thursday!

I was so glad to be back today!  I am still not feeling 100% better but I really missed the kids yesterday!  We began with book clubs and some groups are working on final projects for the informational genre.  After math, during writing time, some students finished publishing while others worked on Spelling City.

During third grade math we investigated polygons.  We work on JPs 138, 139 and then 140 & HL 6.6 are the homework pages due tomorrow.

After swimming and lunch we had Mrs. Keydel introduce an exciting opportunity that will begin on Monday and last for the remainder of the year.  I sent an emailing explaining the details.  Then, the students had Spanish.

After Spanish, we worked on our Michigan Ecosystem projects.  Then, I had some students share their excellent paragraphs and then I distributed the next spelling handout.  The spelling test will be on Friday 2/17, or 2/16 if your child will be absent on 2/17.  Please be sure that your child is practicing on Spelling City as much as possible!  It really helps improve test scores.

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT WE ARE SWIMMING THIS QUARTER AND ALL STUDENTS MUST HAVE SWIM GEAR FOR TUESDAY AND THURSDAY PE CLASSES.  PARTICIPATION IS A MUST TO PROGRESS IN SWIMMING.

Please also remember to check other class blogs/wikis for important information and homework assignments.  The applicable blogs/wikis are on the left side of this page.

Thank you for reading and have a great evening!
