We saw SNOW today!

Today was a great day -we saw snow!  We began with finishing up iMovies and posting them to the science wikis this morning.  Then, during writing time we finished the final drafts of the Ethan and Scott paragraphs.  Many students began their small moment final drafts as well.  


In third grade math we played around with perimeter and area using geoboards and pattern blocks.  We'll all share and discuss our findings tomorrow.


Today's Co-Curriculars were swimming and Spanish.  Following Spanish, we had a wonderful assembly where we learned about hunger and what our school will do to help.  We're participating in Kids Against Hunger's food packaging initiative later this year so we learned about what we'll do and how we will raise money.  Our first effort to raise money will be DADS EAT AND RUN, TOMORROW, and it will cost $1.00 which will go towards fundraising.  Please consider coming to spend time with your child and to help our fundraising efforts.


We saw SNOW for the first time this afternoon!  I always love when kids see snow for the first time in the fall - it is like they've never seen it before!  I am glad it occurred at 3:10 so we could go out to our "backyard" and play tag!
