Wonderful Wednesday!

It was a WONDERFUL Wednesday!

*Please do not click "Next Blog."

This morning we began by reading Frindle.  It is really getting interesting and more funny each day!  After math, (and school pictures which were fabulous, by the way) we had Writer's Workshop. We learned a strategy to help generate memories-clear small moments to write about.

Third grade math:
Today we gathered class data about the letters in our first names and then we made a bar graph.  Here is just one of the many amazing graphs that were created today (Thank you, Nora!):

Tonight's homework is Home Link 1.5 (from the new book that should be kept in your child's binder) and Journal Page 8 (math boxes).

After lunch we had DEAR time and a student demonstrated how we can all cover our writer's notebooks with clear contact paper.  Thank you Bridget!  Next was Engineering Technology and the kids said it went well.  For the duration of the afternoon we had science.  We continued learning about the water cycle.  Consider your child an expert; they were all amazing!

Please remember to look through and sign your child's planner.

Have a WONDERFUL evening!
